Description

What a difference a dark-sky site makes! Taken from Weybourne in North Norfolk UK during a Moonless cloudless night with Edge HD 8 and focal reducer on an AVX, ZWOASI2600 MC Pro, Optolong l-Pro broadband filter, guided with Lacerta.
The Triangulum Galaxy (M33) is a spiral galaxy 2.73 million ly from Earth in the constellation Triangulum. The Triangulum Galaxy is the third-largest member of the Local Group of galaxies, behind the Andromeda Galaxy and the Milky Way. The galaxy is the smallest spiral galaxy in the Local Group, just 60% of the size Milky Way with 10% of the number of stars (40 billion). It is believed to be a satellite of the Andromeda Galaxy or on its rebound into the latter due to their interactions. It also has an H II nucleus.
